Exercise Programs at the Larson Center

BALANCE & CHAIR YOGA: Mondays at 9:00 am ($2.00 per class) - Balance and chair yoga increases flexibility, strength and body awareness. With standing poses, the chair is used to help with and improve balance. Held at Good News Bible Chapel, 235 West Street, Attleboro.

DRUMS ALIVE: Fridays at 1:00 pm ($2.00 per class) - Drums Alive combines the benefits of a traditional physical fitness program with the benefits of music and rhythm. Drums Alive fosters a healthy balance physically, mentally, emotionally and socially. Join a class and experience how it provides an element of fun and creative expression. This program can be done standing or sitting, at both high and low intensity. Held at the Larson Center at 25 S. Main Street, Attleboro.

ESSENTRICS: Tuesdays at 9:00 am (Free) - Essentrics is a full-body workout for people of every ability that changes the shape of your body through a combination of stretching and strengthening. Held at the Larson Center at 25 S. Main Street, Attleboro.

FIT HAPPENS (HIGHER INTENSITY): Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:00 am ($2.00 per class) - A fun class that incorporating medium impact cardio, muscle toning, core, glutes, and flexibility routines to give you a total body workout! Held at the Larson Center at 25 S. Main Street, Attleboro.

HIKING GROUP: Wednesdays at 10:00 am (Free) - Do you enjoy the outdoors, discovering new places to walk nearby, or making new friends? Consider joining the COA hiking group. Hikes are relatively easy but are sometimes on uneven terrain. Meet at the designated location at 10:00am sharp. Meeting locations vary. LINE DANCING: Thursdays at 1:00 pm ($2.00 per class). Think you have two left feet? Give us a chance to prove you wrong! Join us for fun, low-impact line dancing which is good for the mind as well as the body. No dance experience necessary, and beginners are welcome. Now held at Good News Bible Chapel, 235 West Street, Attleboro.

MOVEMENT FOR BETTER BALANCE: Fridays at 9:00 am April 1st through May 27th (no class April 15) - 8 week program. This program helps older adults who are able to walk without assistance to improve balance and increase confidence in everyday activities.  Held at Good News Bible Chapel ($16 paid at first class). You must sign up for all 8 weeks. REGISTRATION IS MANDATORY. Class is limited to 12. Register by calling 774-203-1906. 

SEATED FITNESS: Thursdays at 9:00 am ($2.00) - Seated Fitness is a gentle class designed to strengthen the body using weights (optional) from a mostly seated position. Individuals may use a chair for seated and assisted standing exercise. Held at Good News Bible Chapel, 235 West Street, Attleboro.

WALKING GROUP: Thursdays at 12:30 pm (Free) - Join our walking group for fresh air, exercise, and conversation. Walk at your own pace. Meeting locations vary. Call 774-203-1901 for meeting location details.

ZUMBA GOLD: NOW TWICE A WEEK! Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:00 am ($2.00 per class) - Zumba Gold takes the popular Latin-dance inspired workout of Zumba and makes it accessible for seniors, beginners, or others needing modifications in their exercise routine. Held at the Larson Center, 25 S. Main Street, Attleboro.
